Biography

Keivan Sabaghzadeh (born 03 August 1985) is an Iranian composer, guitarist, songwriter, and record producer who is most famous for his role as a lead guitarist of the Iranian hard rock band Zir-Cigari.

Keivan was born in Tehran, Iran. He started playing guitar at age 16. He was influenced by a few rock bands and artists, such as Guns N' Roses, Alice in Chains, Tool, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Nine Inch Nails, Tom Morello, Joe Satriani and Depeche Mode. He spent three years with an underground band, formed by a few of his friends, covering Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver, AC/DC, and Metallica. During that time, he built up his songwriting skills.

He was inspired to learn piano and orchestration at age 21 after listening to the Batman Begins soundtrack, composed by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. He dedicated a few years to becoming a film score composer.

He worked with a few movie directors between 2008 and 2019. As a film score composer, he has three long and four short movies on his resume: however, due to a lack of public relations skills, he was not really successful in cinema.

He formed Zir-Cigari with vocalist and songwriter Yashar Jeirani in 2005. After seven years, they finally decided to release their first album, "Nale Dar Kenare Zohr", and a year later, they released Rahi Nist. They were disappointed with the outcome and decided not to work on other songs.

Keivan also produced several albums and singles for Iranian musicians and Pop singers.

He moved to Australia in 2016. He joined an Australian hard rock band, "Jac Dalton", in 2020 as a lead guitarist. In 2021, he decided to start working on his solo instrumental project, Noble Lies, which will be released in 2023.

He still struggles to follow his unreachable dreams.
